"What is COMPUTER NUMERICAL CONTROL (CNC)????"

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Programming is automated and most accurate and précised Process of machining the Components in Automobile and aerospace manufacturing.
Computer aided Design (CAD) Systems are used to create the design of the components with precise and high quality of tolerance  to meet the requirements  and then Computer aided manufacturing (CAM) is used to create tool paths for the design as per the machine co-ordinate systems. The tool paths will be then post processed to get the machine codes which support the particular machine to cut the material and obtain the desired design component physically.
In 1950s the First actual CNC machine concept came into existence based on the controls on motors using the point movements are fed through the punched tapes and then the servomotor mechanism using computers emerged and created the CNC world fully automatic and accuracy on machining process.
There are different kinds of CNC Machines with number of axis capacity of movements in it. CNC Machining Differs from category’s and type of machining required to achieve the Tolerance and quality of the components.

  1. What M code (or G code) can be used for external input digital signal that works with optional stop M00/ M01 (within a subroutine program); thanks in advance.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing this, it was indeed a good read and helpful. I would like to add that honing is a manufacturing process that produces a precision surface on a workpiece by scrubbing an abrasive stone against it along a controlled path. Honing is primarily used to improve the geometric form of a surface, but many also improve surface texture. Honing is classified as an abrasive machining manufacturing process. In Abrasive machining processes, material is cut away from the workpiece using abrasive grains. In the case of honing, the grains are bound together with an adhesive to form a honing stone.
